They were honored with celebratory plaques and championship rings at Windham High School on Wednesday, Nov. 26.
Windham girls’ basketball starts season by defeating Thornton Academy - from The Windham Eagle Windham’s varsity girls’ basketball displayed strong defense and a solid offense in their season opener against Thornton Academy at Windham High on Friday, Dec. 5. Windham jumped to a small, but early lead in the first quarter and stayed out in front for the remainder of the game. By the end of the third quarter, WHS was close to 20 points ahead and as the clock ran out, the Eagles were untouchable with a 59-38 win.

WHS seniors Ledbetter, Trainor sign letters of intent - from The Windham Eagle Windham seniors Neve Ledbetter and Abby Trainor have been inspiring each other on and off the lacrosse field their entire athletic careers. They became friends in eighth grade and have been succeeding ever since.
Windham’s Card leads team to All-Star Flag Football win - from The Windham Eagle Windham junior Kiley Card has been playing flag football for six years. She originally wanted to play tackle football, but a girls’ team wasn’t available, so she joined the Maine Girls Flag Football league.
WHS Cross Country fares well against tough competition in second-seven race - from The Windham Eagle Windham cross country’s regional and state competitions are on the horizon. For both the regional and the state competitions, only seven runners are allowed from each team. The second-seven meet is an opportunity for those that aren’t in the top seven to have one more meet before the end of the season. The second-seven meet, a 5K, was held at Sanford High School on Saturday, Oct. 18.
Windham boys’ soccer narrowly falls to South Portland - from The Windham Eagle Windham varsity boys’ soccer played South Portland at Windham on Tuesday, Oct. 21 and it was the final home game of the regular season and also Senior Night; Tate Robinson, Daniel Hancock, Camden Patin, Zabdiel Cayetano, Dylan Crockett, Jack Henry, Braeden Smith and Aidan Difiore were each presented with a gift and, along with their parents, were thanked for their time and dedication to Windham Athletics. Windham fought hard but fell 2-1 to the Red Riots.

Strong second half earns Windham varsity girls’ soccer win over Sanford - from The Windham Eagle The WHS girls’ soccer team significantly overpowered Sanford at Sanford on Saturday, Sept. 13. Windham led 1-0 going into the second half and really turned up the intensity. The Eagles scored four goals in the second half; two goals from senior Neve Ledbetter, one from junior Mackenzie Delewski and one from freshman Logan Curry and at the final whistle, Windham seized a 5-0 win over the Spartans.
