Windham boys’ summer basketball camp teaches game to young players - from the Windham Eagle Windham kindergarten through sixth graders took advantage of an opportunity to work with many of the high school varsity players while learning the foundations of basketball and having fun and making friends at the same time during Windham’s boys’ summer basketball camp. All the proceeds from the camp go right into Windham High’s varsity boys’ basketball program for tournaments, gear and any needed equipment.

Windham scored twice in the first half and really turned up the intensity in the second half, with Eagle defense holding back Freeport. Windham scored one goal in the second half to win the game, 3-0.

It wasn't like there were many fly balls coming her way. At the youth levels, the outfield can be a place of inaction, where few balls are hit and a safe haven can be found forweaker fielders. But at the high school level, the outfield becomes a busy zone where balls fly, instincts are crucial, and a play can decide the biggest games.

They were honored with celebratory plaques and championship rings at Windham High School on Wednesday, Nov. 26.
Windham girls’ basketball starts season by defeating Thornton Academy - from The Windham Eagle Windham’s varsity girls’ basketball displayed strong defense and a solid offense in their season opener against Thornton Academy at Windham High on Friday, Dec. 5. Windham jumped to a small, but early lead in the first quarter and stayed out in front for the remainder of the game. By the end of the third quarter, WHS was close to 20 points ahead and as the clock ran out, the Eagles were untouchable with a 59-38 win.
